The Castles Trail
A loop route for mountain bikes that winds between the slopes and valley floor of the Media Valtellina, connecting Tirano and Grosio through ever-changing environments and landscapes. The ride winds through broadleaf woods, terraced vineyards, chestnut groves and cultivated areas, alternating cycle paths, dirt roads and single tracks that require good riding experience. Along the way are castles, medieval towers and historical landmarks. A dynamic and scenic route, ideal for bikers with good fitness and intermediate technical skills.

Thanks to the predominantly flat terrain, numerous rest areas and railway connections along the route, the itinerary is suitable for everyone. It can be covered in full or chosen in stages.
